Los Angeles witnessed widespread festivities after the Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-match World Series title. Fans worldwide united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Online footage show thousands of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many displaying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.

The championship acted as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate 225,000 people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more enthusiasm.
“I feel like it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s so awesome to be a involved in this.”
