Previous BBC Specialists Undergo MPs' Questioning After Allegations of Partiality in Disclosed Document
We open with inquiries from Tory Member of Parliament Caroline Dinenage, who chairs the group.
She opens by giving context to the unauthorized memo authored by Michael Prescott and released in a daily publication.
"I don't want the British Broadcasting Corporation slanting in any particular direction, My only wish is for it balanced, fair and fair," he declares.
In response to a query if he thinks the BBC is institutionally biased, Prescott responds: "Absolutely not. To be clear, tons of stuff the BBC creates is top-tier - both factual and entertainment shows."
Nevertheless, he states: "There exists real work that requires attention at the BBC."
The second ex-adviser British Broadcasting Corporation consultant questioned by the committee, Caroline Daniel, states she takes the BBC extremely earnestly and that it has a "continuous process and lively discussion" on fluid and multifaceted subjects.
"Was the BBC prepared to conduct a thorough conversation and exchange and implement changes?" she asks herself. "As I see it, yes they were."
