During a engagement to Lichfield Cathedral on the start of the week, the King was confronted by a man who questioned him about his brother's links with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The man asked how long the monarch had been aware about his brother's association with Jeffrey Epstein, and also questioned whether he had asked the police to "conceal" for Prince Andrew.

Amid the heckling, there were large groups of fans and cheers for the King, who was in Staffordshire for an engagement.

The Duke of York's connections with Jeffrey Epstein have been under close examination in the past few weeks. The royal, who gave up his royal duties earlier this month, has repeatedly denied any misconduct.

"For how long have you known about Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein? Have you asked the police to cover up for Andrew?"

The King remained silent but carried on greeting fans, some of whom shouted "God Save The King". One supporter can be overheard requesting him for a hug.

A female bystander outside the venue was also observed telling the protester to "leave" and to "be quiet".

Scandal Revived by Memoir

The controversy over the Duke of York's links to Jeffrey Epstein has been reignited by misconduct claims detailed in Virginia Giuffre's recently released book.

In the memoir, Ms Giuffre alleges she had sexual encounters with the prince on multiple times, including one instance with Epstein and "several other minors"

Prince Andrew, who agreed to a financial settlement with the plaintiff in 2022, has consistently denied any wrongdoing. In a previous interview, he told BBC Newsnight he did not remember meeting her "at all", and that they "never had any sort of intimate relations."

New Inquiries About Finances and Living Arrangements

But in recent times, new inquiries have been raised about how he is able to fund his way of life despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The disclosure that he has only ever paid a nominal fee on his Windsor mansion has heightened the examination over his living arrangements - even though he made large payments initially, including for renovations.

The Liberal Democrats said he should be called in front of MPs to give evidence about his lease of his residence.

But last Thursday, the authorities refused to give MPs time to discuss the royal's status or his residence, despite growing pressure for investigation.

Buckingham Palace has not commented on whether Prince Andrew might relocate of his current residence - or where he might go.
