Trio Named as Finalists for Young Sports Personality Honour

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the 2025 Young Athlete of the Year award.
The trio have been recognised for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The finalists were announced live on a popular morning radio program.
The champion will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December.
The show will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.
Michelle Agyemang
Age: 19 Sport: Football
Just three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
Littler's Profile

Littler kicked off the year in spectacular fashion as - while still 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Being nominated for this award again is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and rose to fame with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it inspires more young females to get into cricket."
